Number 6 - Jill Scott
Jill from the Phil first began her career as a spoken word artist until she was discovered by ?estlove from The Roots. She then released her first album in 2000 which went double platinum. Recently she starred in Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married. So why do I love Jill Scott? Because she took her spoken word artistry and emerged as a music phenom. As a poet myself, I got alot of respect for Ms. Jill.
